01 Initial Idea
The idea here is to evidence your thought process in deciding which question you are going to proceed with. You should take your time and look closely at each question before making a decision. The topic must interest you or you will not be successful. The last thing you want to do is to start again because you didn't take the time at the start.
The beautiful thing about photography and art is the number of ways a topic can be interpreted. Each of these questions can be interpreted in a number of ways. Look at the photographers associated with each and be inspired by their work. This inspiration should be evident in your work.
Task:
Evidence your decision making process using the structure below. This can be a mixture of sketched ideas, text and image galleries.

AS Exam 2017
- Create a section on your website menu. Call it Exam Work
- Read through the exam paper. Identify the key words and make some notes on each question. Your notes can be photographed and added to your website.
- Use the links on the exam paper page to view the work of the various photographers. Save any images that you like.
- Create a mind map or create a diagram to show the pros and cons of each question. This does not have to be detailed. The aim here is to help you make a decision.
- State which question you want to investigate further. Do not worry if you change your mind after a couple of days. Problems only occur when students want to change weeks into exam preparation. Give brief reasons for your choice.
- Create a gallery of photographs from the work of a photographer related to the question you have chosen.
- Describe what you like about these photographs. Use photography keywords & terms.
- Initial plan. What is your interpretation of the question? What are you going to do?
