Costume, Identity & Disguise
The Brief
There will be only 1 project presented for the Component 1 part of the course. The practical work produced will be supported with an essay or similar presentation with no less than 1000 word and no more than 3000 words.
To ensure that grades for the class are high, it is essential that pupil’s work is not visibly teacher led. It is essential that pupils work independently, producing a personal and creative response to the project given.
You are to produce a website portfolio of work that responds to the project title. This project is very different from your previous AS project. It will be more autobiographical, more personal and more figurative in its content. It will involve you working with and photographing people far more than the previous project. This will involve you to develop your communication and organisational skills.
The project title is open to your own interpretation. That way you will have opportunity to develop a very personal and creative portfolio of work for marking.
You are to produce a personal project that will respond to the tasks presented to you on a regular basis. The success of the project will be dependent upon your research skills, reference to other photographers work, use of the DSLR camera and lenses, use of studio flash and bulb lighting, Photoshop techniques and your presentation skills.
