A Level photography is broken in 2. Coursework & Exam. Coursework is worth 60% of your marks. The coursework is broken down into 4 sections, AO1 Research, AO2 Experimentation, AO3 - Photographs & AO4 - Final Outcome.
AO1 is where you evidence research and develop ideas. Students seem to think that a gallery and a mind map is all you need. The reality is that this will get you a few marks at best. AO1 requires as much effort as you would put into your photography. Follow the chart above as a guide. Make sure you write about the photographs that you research using key terms. Please remember that to get a top grade that there must be a link between your research and your final outcome in AO4. |
